The Appellate Lawyers Association (ALA) and the DuPage County Bar Association (DCBA) Cordially Invite You to Attend our:

Third District Appellate Court Roundtable Luncheon

Please join us for our annual, in-person, roundtable luncheon with the Justices of the Illinois Appellate Court, Third Judicial District. Numbers permitting, the ALA will seat at least one justice at each table.

Time: 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Cost: $50 for public-sector ALA and DBCA members; $60 for private-sector ALA and DCBA members; $65 for public-sector nonmembers; $75 for private-sector nonmembers. Lunch is included.

CLE Credit: Participants will earn 1.0 credit for this event. The ALA is an approved MCLE provider.

Join the Appellate Lawyers Association of Illinois for a special screening of

“Mikva! Democracy is a Verb”

Abner Mikva was a lawyer, a federal judge, a legal scholar and a politician. He served in the Illinois House of Representatives before going on to serve in all three branches of the federal government, including as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. A public servant in the truest sense, Abner Mikva’s legacy lives on through the work of those he inspired.

The ALA is honored to be joined at this screening by Justice Mary L. Mikva (Ret.), Justice James R. Epstein (Ret.), Judge Jerry A. Esrig, Director Bob Hercules and Executive Producer Greg Kinczewski for a discussion following the film.

Location: This program will be hybrid. Please indicate whether you will be attending via Zoom or In Person (Akerman LLP, 71 S. Wacker Dr, 47th Floor) when you register. In Person registration is limited and will be on a first-come, first served basis.

Time: 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm - please note, if you attend in person, you will need to go through building security so plan to arrive between 1:30 - 1:45 pm
